The purpose of this page is to help you apply for
membership in the Japan Karate-Do Shito-Kai USA Murayama organization.
There are different types of membership:
- Individual - Yudan-Sha / Black Belts
- Dojo Membership - School Affiliation
- Association Membership - State
Representation with more than 2-3 schools.

ASIAN
ARTS CENTER - School of Traditional Oriental Cultural Arts;
Founded in 1975, this traditional school is
fully accredited and registered with the Japan Karate Federation and the
World Shito-ryu Karate-do Federation. It attracts visitors worldwide.
Karate-do Shito-Kai Murayama USA has produced
numerous champions at Local, National and International tournaments. Our
competition team continues the dojo’s
winning tradition.
Various Memberships include USA Individual, USA Dojo or USA State
representation, do not send

Individual, Dojo
and State representative membership entitles one to:
- Daily class training
- Unlimited attendance of regular classes
- Orientation seminar
- Certified World Shito-ryu Karate-do Federation
Menjo - Rank Certificates (Kyu - Dan)
- Membership cards - allowing National training at
Karate-Do Shito-Kai Dojo's in the
USA under the direction of Shihan Murayama, and Sensei Rabino.
- Special invitations to the Pan-Am Shito-Kai
Tournaments
- International Karate Camps
- Shito-Kai Annual Master training Sessions,
conducted by Shihan Kunio Murayama.
- Regional and national tournaments
- Regularly scheduled training seminars

In addition, there are special team
Kata & Kumite training sessions periodically scheduled, as well as
winter and spring
training, and classes by special guest instructors. Times are
subject to change.
- All Dan Testing are conducted by
Shihan Kunio Murayama.
Sensei
Ted Rabino (Shibucho) - KARATE-DO SHITO-KAI USA MURAYAMA (USA Branch
Director)
Sensei Rabino is a WSKF Sixth Dan (6th Degree) registered with the Japan
Karate Federation (JKF) Tokyo, Japan,
and the
World Shito-ryu Karate-do Federation (WSKF). Sensei Rabino is the
USA Shibucho, United States of America Karate-do
Shito-Kai Branch Director under the direction of Shihan Kunio
Murayama. He has been teaching traditional Japanese/Okinawan karate locally, nationally
and internationally since 1975.
Sensei has competed State, National and Internationally. He was co-captain of the USA International
Karate Team. Placed
1st in the Prestigious Western States JKA Karate
Championships, placed several years in AAU
competitions throughout the
years. USA Representative to the
Americas in Mexico and medalist in the 1986 World Koshiki
Full Contact USKA Tournament.
Sensei Rabino is a strict
disciplinarian, and insists on Japanese etiquette, but his warmth
for his students is ever present.
Advanced and special training is
offered throughout the year.
Children Karate Classes
For children from 5–12 years of age, the dojo provides special
training in basics, form and one-step sparring. For class
schedules, email us for more information on the special Karate &
Kobudo Team training classes. All youth classes taught
by Sensei Sara Rabino, Ni-Dan in rank and has trained since 1980.
She has also won several competitions in State, and
National
tournaments in both Karate & Kobudo.
