Annual Karate-Do Shito-Kai Murayama U.S.A.
  The training was non-stop from the start when Murayama, Kunio Shihan landed in
Sky Harbor International Airport - Phoenix, Arizona. Shihan had just recently returned
from his United Kingdom (U.K.), and Toronto, Canada dojo's. My first thought was to
allow Shihan to get some rest, but no he was still powered up to train.
 We got to our dojo and trained personally with Shihan. Alvarez, Ramon Sempai was
going for his Shodan, so I wanted to get Ramon personal training with Shihan on Shito-
Kai standards. Mr. Alvarez originally resided in Mexico and at that time he trained with
Shito-Kai notables Iwamoto, and Watenabe Sensei's. He was a Mexico national champion
who has attained several USA wins since his move here to America.
 I trained personally with Mr. Kane, and Mr. Zentz on there preparation for there Yudan-Sha
ranking. I must say they performed very good during there test. Also testing was Mrs.
Hanson she is a very strong female black belt, with good Budo spirit and a kind heart.
But when it was her time to test in front of Shihan she demonstrated her bunkai as an
individual should. She passed and acquired her Nidan, the last two who tested were the
Dengel brothers (Ricky & Luis) who also passed. All had homework on there testing sheets
but overall the Shito-Kai family is growing with good Budo and a humble sense of what
Shihan likes to see. He mentioned he would rather reprimand one student with a bad attitude
leave then to corrupt the whole dojo. I am in total agreement with this statement, families
that spend time bickering make for a weak family.
